Oil Cap Sept 3 Range Update

Five benches at the westerly end of the 200 Yard Range will be open Sept. 4th through Monday Sept. 6th.  The 200 Yard portion of the range is closed.  There may be foot and vehicular hazards, such as stray nails, so caution is advised.  The overhead cover is complete except for some trim-up work which will continue on Tuesday Sept. 7th, when the range will close again for a few days.  Electrical work on the range will begin on Wednesday the 8th.  During the 8th & 9th electrical work will require closure, at least part of both days, of Pistol Left & Right, as well as the 50 Yard Range.

For Saturday August 28 and Sunday 29 the 100 Yard Portion of the Rifle Range will be open.  Only 5 westerly benches are available.  The contractor has construction materials stacked along the balance of the range.  Begining Monday August 30, the entire 100 Yd range will again be closed for construction.  All other ranges will be open during weekdays.

Tornado Reconstruction ballots opened tonight at special board meeting.  334 Ballots returned, which is very good for a special ballot. 
 
320 voted  "yes".  11 voted "no". 3 invalid.  That's an astounding 96% that said "go build it".  We will. 
 
200 Yd Range Cover is currently under construction, with completion by the end of the week of September 6th; with good weather it will be done sooner.  The electric bid to the 200 Yd Cover has been let and will be completed within 2 weeks of time shed is done.  Contracts for remaining three buildings will be let in next couple days.

Oil Capital Aug 23 Update

The construction crew will be out on the 200 Yd range, beginning Tuesday August 24th.  That entire 100/200 Yard Range will be closed at all times while the work crew is present.  The electric contract for that structure was let on August 20th.  The electricians will be moving on during and after this time frame.  More updates as progress continues.

The 100 Yd Range is open for the next few days.  Contractor has completed a phase of the work that involves removing the broken-off posts at the benches.  CAUTION:  There were a number of open post holes previously; now ALL of them are open.
